So everyone can see who's in the room. First name is plenty β there's no account and nothing to remember.
Two reels. Songs on the left, singers on the right. Press GO and it pairs one with the other.
Start a room and you get a four-digit PIN. Anyone with the PIN is in β no accounts, no sign-in. Share copies a link that carries the PIN.
Everyone's phone shows the same room. When someone presses GO, every screen spins and lands on the same result, so there is never an argument about who is up.
When you open a room it asks for your name β just a name, nothing to sign up for. Everyone in the room appears in the strip along the top, faded out when their phone has gone to sleep.
If that name is already in the room it offers to hand you the old seat, which is what you want when you have swapped phones or cleared your browser. A seat belonging to a host can only be taken over by someone who already has the host link.
Tap + on anyone's chip to drop them into the singers reel, yourself included. A β means they're already on it. The host gets + add all at the end of the strip, which puts everyone in at once.
Type into ADD A SONG and pick from the search β that fetches the real title, artist and cover art. Anything it does not know, type it and press ADD anyway.
Add singers by name, and tap π· to put a face on one.
On by default for both columns: once a song is sung it leaves the reel, and so does the person who sang it. Turn a column off to keep it in the pool all night.
You can also remove someone from the room with the Γ on their chip. It sticks for that browser, but it is a nudge, not a lock β anyone who knows the PIN can come back in a fresh window.
You are the host, and only you can end the night or switch on view only β that turns everyone else's phone into a screen: they still watch the reels spin, but you do the adding and the pressing.
Being host lives in this browser, not in an account. Host key copies a private link that makes another device host too. Send it to yourself, not to the group.
A room is named after whoever started it β the name they typed on the way in β so it shows up as "Sam's room" with the PIN beside it.
A host can flip a room to public, which lists it on the front page so anyone can walk in without the PIN. That also means the names in it and what has been sung are on show to anyone who opens the site. Off unless the host turns it on, and a room drops off the list the moment the night is ended.
End night freezes the room into a setlist nobody can change. You can reopen it. It then shows up under Your nights on the front screen, so you can read back what everyone sang.
That list is per-device β it remembers the rooms this browser has been in. Rooms are deleted after 90 days of nothing happening.
